Sue’s book, Shelter for a Butterfly, is more than just a children’s story. It’s a heartfelt metaphor representing the journey of the children and families we support. 

In the story, the butterfly symbolizes the children, and the struggle against the wind reflects the challenges they face. Finally, they find comfort under the magnolia tree, a symbol of Martin House, offering shelter, hope, and love. 

Sue’s commitment goes beyond words. She personally funded the costs of publishing the book, ensuring that all proceeds directly benefit Martin House.
