Every illustration in my books springs from the same place my stories do, a vivid imagination shaped by years of daydreams and a lifelong love for fantasy.
As a child, I was utterly enchanted by mythical creatures and magical adventures, and those tales lit a creative fire that never went out.
I believe illustrations are essential in children's books - not just as decoration, but as a way to bring the characters to life. They invite children to step fully into the world of the story, to see what I see, and to grow fond of the fantastical characters who live on the page.
Though I never had the chance to pursue art formally, I have always created for the joy of it. My journey as an artist has been entirely through a whole lot of trial and error.
Each character begins as a vision in my mind, and through pencil and paper, they find their shape and spirit. My favourite of them all? Goby the goblin. He has been with me the longest, evolving over time as both a companion and a canvas for my imagination. He is a little mischievous but very brave for his years, and very close to my heart.This gallery is not just a collection of drawings but a portal into the magical world I have built.
